A Glitch in Time

If you own a Tivo and are still making daily calls to download your program information (as opposed to getting it from the internet), then here is something you need to know.
I was checking my recording schedule “to do” list and noticed that starting Sunday, March 11, everything was off by an hour. It’s like I was suddenly set to Central Time. The programs that I have Season Passes for were still listed, an hour early. But the Manual Recordings, which were still set for the correct time, now had the wrong program.
I called Tivo and they said it is due to the fact that Daylight Savings Time starts this weekend, and once the time resets, all the recordings will be correct. Considering I’ve had Tivo for many years now and this is the first time it’s doing this, I will have to take their word for it.
And what’s the deal with Daylight Savings Time starting so early? Instead of passing this, Congress should have passed a Gasoline Savings Time. Or a Money Savings Time. Or how about a Network Comedy Savings Time. There are so many more things that need to be saved than Daylight.
You’ve been a great audience. Try the veal! Or better yet, Save the Veal!
